FAQ

How long is the assistance period?

We understand that each person and situation is different. We will provide a tailored solution to suit your individual needs. Depending on your circumstances, financial assistance may apply as a short – or medium – term solution for you.

Can someone else request assistance on my behalf?

Yes, we can work with a third party or financial counsellor who you have authorised to act on your behalf.

What if my application is declined?

We will notify you of the outcome of your application, outlining the reasons for the decision.

What happens if I am not happy with your response?

If you are not happy with any part of the financial assistance process, including the decision, you may contact us and we will try and resolve the matter. You can also access our Customer Advocate.

If you are still not happy with the outcome, you may be able to lodge your complaint with the free, independent dispute resolutions scheme, the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).

Will I still be contacted by Collections whilst assistance is being reviewed or in place?

No, there will be no collections activity during any review of assistance or approved assistance period when you comply with the terms of your arrangement.
